بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

وَأَنفِقُوا مِن مَّا رَزَقْنَاكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ فَيَقُولَ رَبِّ لَوْلَا أَخَّرْتَنِي إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُن مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ 
(سورة المنافقون, Al-Munaafiqoon, Chapter #63, Verse #10)

10       And spend (in charity) of that with which We have provided you before death comes to one of you, and he says: “My Lord! If only You would give me respite for a little while (i.e. return to the worldly life), then I should give Sadaqah (i.e. Zakat ) of my wealth, and be among the righteous [i.e. perform Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) and other good deeds].

 

Why donate to NYMA (or to any trusted charity)?

• NYMA main objective is to establish a permanent fully functioning Masjid for generations to come ISA.
• It’s an exercise in Worshiping Allah (SWT), same like any act of submission to Quranic guidance;
• It’s following to The Prophet’s (PBUH) practice and Sunnah;
• It’s the Islamic way of purifying our wealth;
• It’s means to be helpful to the less fortunate humanity;
• It’s an exercise in mercy and compassion;
• It’s an exercise in modesty & humility;

Where does donation money go?, you can decide where your donations goes;

At NYMA, you decide where your donation goes, whether it’s specifically for future permanent Masjid,  or any other Islamic venue for Sadaqat (Charity). We at NYMA will strictly follow your instructions in this regard;

 

Currently, NYMA maintains 3 operating bank accounts, First is savings towards acquiring our future permanent Masjid ISA, (Also this account stands as backup to our operating charitable business account).

 

Second account (operating charitable business account) is for all other NYMA charitable purposes, including all our operating charitable business expenses, incl. space rental and donations to other charities.

 

Third account (online transfers account) is for all our online direct donations and transfers.

Furthermore, NYMA has the means to privately provide limited assistance to needy members of the congregation. Please contact (in confidence) one of the management committee members, personally or by e-mail.

 

Methods Of Donation:

• •  ONE TIME (or multiple / reoccurring) donations could be made by DIRECT ONLINE DEPOSIT by use of your Interac e-Transfer  Service. (Available at your online Banking), paid to  NYMA , Support@northyorkma.com

  •  Pre-authorized MONTHLY donations could be made by filling out the NYMA Monthly Pledge Form and emailing it back to: support@northyorkma.com or by handing it in person at Jumaa prayer location. Pledges could be discontinued at any time by simply notifying NYMA.

  • BY CHECK payable to NYMA, handed at Jumaa prayer location.

  • BY CASH at Jumaa prayer location.
